Announced by iam8bit, the physical edition of the game will be available in two formats. The standard edition will include a fold-out map and a digital soundtrack. Players can create their own hobbit and settle into the picturesque village of Bywater. The game offers a variety of cozy activities. Such as gathering ingredients for breakfast to fishing, gardening, and decorating a hobbit hole. As players settle into their new life, the community of hobbits will offer quests, trade goods, and provide helpful tips.

Tales of the Shire marks the debut of Weta Workshop’s video game division. The team has previously worked on groundbreaking film effects for titles such as Alien: Romulus and Dune Part Two, as well as The Rings of Power on Amazon Prime. The game will be coming out digitally on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC as well. Fans can look forward to a charming new adventure in the heart of Middle-earth this summer.
