The update followed a social media alert posted by Windsor police on X, formerly Twitter, at approximately 11 a.m., notifying residents of an active investigation in the area west of the city’s downtown.
Police had cordoned off a perimeter around the Dollarama, which was emptied of employees and customers and closed, with cruisers and police tape barring entry to the parking lot. Traffic is blocked on Cameron Avenue to the west of the store and Wellington Avenue to the east.
